RIP Taruni Sachdev

Taruni Sachdev (1998 - May 14, 2012) was an Indian child film actress and model who acted in Paa(2009). She was born in 1998 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She died in a plane crash in Nepal on 14th May 2012.

Career

She acted in several television advertisements of Rasna, Colgate to name a few. She also worked in Malayalam movies Vellinakshatram (2004) and Sathyam (2004). She was also a part in Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? as a teammate.

She has acted in noted Bollywood films like Paa.

Plane crash

Taruni was among 15 killed when a 20 seater Agni Air Dornier plane slammed into a cliff in western Nepal. The plane was flying from Pokhara, Nepal, a major tourist destination, to Jomsom which is about 60 km away.

Her mother Geetha Sachdev, who was with her on the flight, also died in the crash.
