WARNING!!! DO NOT LOAD the Christmas tree app.

It will crash your computer. Geeksquad says it's one of the WORST trojan viruses there is and it is spreading quickly. Please re-post and let your friends know.
Hoax or Fact:
It is a hoax, not a trojan virus.

The original version of this hoax started way back in November 2010, that says that Geeksquad has identified one of the worst trojan viruses ever and that it is spreading rapidly. The messages were asking people to repost and share the message with everyone. However, the claimed message is not a fact. There is no computer security threat as such relating to the "Christmas tree app". In fact, Geeksquad denied of it as well.

"In actuality, Geek Squad has not officially investigated this particular application, nor have we identified it as the source of any infections in any cases we have supported."

Many messages were circulating rapidly on Facebook warning users not to install the "Christmas tree app", saying that it is a destructive trojan virus. But that is not the fact. It is just a hoax to create confusion.

However, Facebook users must note that there are number of Facebook applications available in the name of "Christmas Tree" and therefore they should be cautious with deceptive links that install insecure applications.
